Help us hire an editor for The New Americana

As many have noticed, this week has not been a stellar update week for The New Americana. Instead of the dozens or hundreds of new links updated throughout the day that you’re accustomed to, we’ve had trouble updating more than once or twice a day. It’s time that I explain this fully.

God willing, our 4th child will be born in June. He has a strange configuration in his heart that is causing this particular pregnancy to be much more complex than before. His aorta and pulmonary artery are switched and there’s a small hole in the wall separating his ventricles. I went into a little more detail here.

More doctors. More hospital visits. Combined with our efforts to build the Federalist Party and other obligations, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to dedicate the many hours each day required to make this site as vibrant as it needs to be. The worlds of politics, culture, and religion are moving too fast for me to update it alone, so I desperately need help.

It’s very uncomfortable for me to ask for this help. I’ve always striven to take care of my business and family without assistance. However, TNA is too important as a rising voice in conservative media to be hampered by my life situations. We need to hire an editor who can help take TNA to the next level. We need to eventually hire writers, but that’s secondary at this point. Our volunteer writers are still doing great. We just need more.

I cannot ask for a volunteer editor. It’s a job that requires reading through news stories constantly throughout the day and night. I have to be able to fully train and compensate this person and the revenue simply isn’t there yet. Several of you have stepped up and contributed to TNA and I’m grateful, but it hasn’t been enough to pay for a month’s worth of work, let alone being able to pay a real salary to someone.

If you can, please help by contributing to our GoFundMe page. We won’t wait until we reach our goal before hiring someone, but we need to have enough funds in there to cover at least the first couple of months before I can safely pull the trigger.

The fight to amplify conservative voices is ongoing and must be allowed to continue. The New Americana is helping. We can help even more with a little help from our readers. Thank you, and God Bless.
