It took about 15 seconds of research and logical discernment for me to conclude Adam Saleh’s claim that he was thrown off a Delta plane for speaking in Arabic to his mother was almost certainly a hoax. Most of mainstream media is still trying to figure that out and is very hopeful that it’s all real.
Let’s compare thought processes. I recognized the name and searched for him. Yep, that’s him, a known YouTube conman who has been caught trying to rile up support for Islam by making Muslims out to be victims at all times. Then, I took a moment to think about it. Is it likely that a major airline would, in our politically correct society, escort someone out for calling their mother and speaking Arabic? Is it more likely that a man known to file false reports about discrimination against Muslims was filing a false report about discrimination against Muslims?
…12, 13, 14, 15… yep, this is probably a hoax.
Mainstream media’s thought process probably took even less time. Minority claims discrimination. Report it.
Unfortunately, most in mainstream media have been searching in vain for this type of story for a while. They are quick to blame Donald Trump supporters when a black church is set ablaze and graffiti is left saying, “Vote Trump.” They are slow to report when it’s revealed that it was not a Trump supporter who actually committed the crime. Why? Because they’ve been searching in vain for this type of story for a while. They want it to be true. They need it to be true. They’ll do everything in their power to make it true.
The problem is their hopes and dreams are tied to proving their narratives that Trump is ruining the world, Muslims are terribly persecuted in western society, and conservatives are all racists. They can’t imagine society not crumbling around them just because President Obama is leaving and his replacement is not suitable to them. They want to believe that companies like Delta regularly discriminate. They hope that conservatives commit the racist acts that they’ve all been dying to commit now that they feel empowered.
In other words, they’re hoping for the world to burn as a result of the masses not buying into their warnings and recommendations. They told us Trump would destroy us, so if he doesn’t, they lose credibility. They were certain Clinton would win and now they’re trying to prove they would have been right if it weren’t for all of the evil forces mounted against them.
Mainstream media wants many things, but the only thing they absolutely don’t want is to be wrong. This quest for perceived righteousness is driving them further away from the truth and turning them into a self-fulfilling prophecy as the initiators of fake news. Americans don’t trust the media because the media doesn’t deserve to be trusted. It’s that simple.
