Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have been masters of optics. They’ve meticulously utilized the political strategy of positioning props, backdrops, and most importantly people in the right places at the right time to make their campaigns seem more appealing to voters.
Not this time. Not in Florida. Hillary Clinton had a surprise visitor to her latest rally and went so far as to position him in the coveted “human backdrop” position right behind her. In Kissimmee, Florida, just 22 miles south of Orlando, the campaign put Seddique Mateen right behind Hillary. Mateen’s son, Omar, was the Pulse nightclub shooter.
This is why, despite his overt Putinphilia & overall wackiness, Trump still has a wee bit of a shot.https://t.co/dn0Qq6yV7E

There’s no need for a deep analysis of this. It’s a nightmare for the Clinton campaign. Talking about the Pulse nightclub shooting with the father of the shooter supporting her right behind her is the epitome of bad optics.
